When your IT equipment has reached the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced, the personal data must be totally destroyed. This needs to be done properly and thoroughly. It is not as simple as just deleting the files because much of the sensitive data still remains on the drives and could ultimately be recovered.
Our specialist engineers take the responsibility of your data destruction very seriously. They have many years of experience using industry standard software to totally wipe and overwrite the data on your drives so that it is gone and beyond recovery. Alternatively if the drives are not reusable, we have specialist machinery which will physically crush and punch a hole through the drives. They are then processed for metal recovery.
We are also keen recyclers, passionate about the reuse and refurbishment of as much IT and e-waste as possible to prevent the world’s precious resources going to landfill. All scrapped waste is recycled.
Your equipment is never booted to its operating system, so no none of your data is ever accessed or stored.
E-Waste such as computer base units, laptops, servers, monitors, printers and keyboards must not be disposed of with other household or commercial waste. Not only do they contain valuable recyclable components such as ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, plastics, circuit boards and glass which can be re-used, they also contain hazardous waste which must not end up in landfill.
We repurpose or refurbish computer equipment so that it can be used again. If the equipment is too old to be refurbished it is broken down to its component parts to be recycled.
